BHN OECTA represents about 750 members who teach in Elementary and Secondary schools in the publicly funded Roman Catholic schools in Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties in Ontario, Canada. We are a member of the provincial Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association, and through this provincial body we are affiliated with the Ontario Teachers' Federation, Education International, and the Canadian Labour Congress.

Did You Know?

Both the Elementary and Secondary bargaining committees are well under way in creating the initial proposals which will tbe presented to the Membership for approval.

Review your schedules to ensure that your prep/supervision minutes are correct.  Elementary Teachers should have 200 minutes of prep on the schedules and no more than 80 supervision minutes per week.


We will engage Members of Provincial Parliament and the general public in a dialogue about: publicly funded education, the full-day Kindergarten program, safe schools recommendations, and poverty reduction. Click for Details
